Mary Richardson Kennedy, the wife of prominent environmentalist Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., was found dead in her Mount Kisco, New York, home today, about an hour outside of New York City. According to an ABC News affiliate in Mount Kisco, “Police confirm that a deceased person was located inside the home at approximately 1:36 p.m.” They have four children.

Update, 5:57 p.m.Per ABC News, Mary Kennedy’s family released the following statement: “We deeply regret the death of our beloved sister Mary, whose radiant and creative spirit will be sorely missed by those who loved her. Our heart goes out to her children who she loved without reservation.”
